The history of the Bugatti EB 110
1989

The financial broker Romano Artioli revived the Bugatti brand and begins with the new development of a super sports car.

1991

The new Bugatti is presented to an enthusiastic public in Paris on the occasion of the 110th birthday and in honor of Ettore Bugatti* this high-tech fireball, which could scarcely be excelled in technology and design, received the designation Bugatti EB 110.
*(Ettore Bugatti 1881 - 1947)

1995

The Bugatti Automobili SpA of the South Tirolean entrepreneur Romano Artioli goes bankrupt.

1997

The Dauer Sportscars company (then still Dauer Racing GmbH) takes over the bankruptcy assets of the EB 110, with semi-finished cars as well as all original parts from which this exclusive sports car will also be produced in the future.

1998 - 1999

Dauer Sportscars and its team of specialists (partially employees of the former Bugatti Automobili SpA) under the leadership of the company founder Jochen Dauer, develop the EB 110 SS further and bring it to the latest state of the art.

2000

The first modified Dauer EB 110 will come off the line in the course of the year. Its weight has been reduced significantly by the newly developed body in carbon fiber (previously aluminium and steel). Detail improvements of components increase the performance of the car considerably.
As ever the legendary EB 110 is the sole four-wheel drive sports car in the world

2001

On the occasion of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monte Carlo (in May 2001), the new Dauer EB110 S was introduced to a small group of motorsport experts in a very exclusive ambience. These technical sophisticated developments of the legendary Bugatti EB110 with a carbon body and many other technical detail-improvements convinced the exquisite and prominent guests as well as the competent media-people (e.g. from motorpress, from TV and Radio) who came from many countries, were very surprised and delighted with the Dauer EB110 S, and the very well done improvements.
